Basketball: Join, Shoot & Check Quest Progress

Use the basketball activity controls, distinguish baskets from blocked shots and verify daily quest progress.

§Find the court and its activity controls#

The gameplay recording shows an indoor court with hoops at both ends and students playing. Approach the activity and use the interaction shown in your own game. Confirm the overlay includes basketball actions before trying to shoot.

In the recorded session the overlay includes Exit Basketball, Steal, Jump / Block and Defend. This is a useful mode check: if you still see the normal combat list, you have not confirmed the same activity state.

§Make a shot that the task recognizes#

Acquire the ball in the activity and practice a clear attempt toward a hoop. Watch whether it goes in, then reopen Quests. A made basket should be distinguished from simply throwing the ball or standing under the hoop.

Use one attempt as a check before repeating a long sequence. The recording shows players contesting possession, so another player can interrupt practice. Pick a less crowded court session if you want to learn the inputs.

§Practice blocked shots separately#

A block-shot objective asks you to stop another basketball shot. Read the activity overlay for Jump / Block and practice with a friend who agrees to shoot. Compare the quest counter after an apparent block.

The video establishes that blocking and defending appear as basketball controls. It does not establish the exact block timing or guarantee that any jump near a shooter registers. Use the counter as your success check.

§Leave the activity before testing combat#

Use Exit Basketball from the activity control list. Check that the normal combat list returns before testing punches. An action that is reserved for basketball can behave differently while that mode remains active.

Safe-area and combat-tag restrictions are a separate issue. Read the current message at a boundary rather than assuming every indoor space has the same rule.
